Methodist Men Come From Behind to Win Callaway Invitational
Junior Matt Bova won the tournament in a two hole playoff

PINE MOUNTAIN, GA – The Monarchs were eight strokes behind after the first round at the Callaway Invitational, but shaved 21 strokes off on their own score from round one to round two to come from behind and win the 16 team tournament with a score of 597 (309-288).

Junior Matt Bova won the individual title with a 145 (73-72) after a two hole playoff with Ryan Jennings of the University of Texas-Tyler. Junior Trey Howell improved nine strokes to finish with a -1 in round two and a 151 (80-71) to tie for seventh place. Senior Nick Bova tied for 15th with 153 (80-73) along with sophomore Josh Schrader (76-77). Junior Jake Pleczkowski dropped 11 strokes to finish in a tie for 26th with 155 (83-72).

Methodist will compete in the Jekyll Island Invitational Mar. 21-23.
