Men's Golf Places
Fourth at Gordin Classic
Nick Bova shot a 146 to lead the Monarchs
MYRTLE BEACH, SC- The men's golf team
traveled to the Gordin Classic at the Grande
Dunes Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC placing fourth
out of the twelve teams competing. The
Monarchs were tied for first after round one,
but Emory University held on for the win with a
score of 581. The Monarchs came in behind
Rhodes and Guilford with a score of 590.
Senior Nick Bova tied for ninth overall and led
the Monarchs with a 146 (73-73). Sophomore
Matt Bova tied for 11th and shot a 147 (70-77).
Junior John Duckworth shot a 149 (72-77) to
finish in a tie for 20th. Sophomore Trey
Howell shot a 149 (74-75) to also tie for 20th.
Senior Josh Hart placed in a tie for 34th with a
score of 152.
The men's golf
team will travel to the Oglethorpe Invitational
in Gainesville, GA October 30-31.
