Monarchs currently third at Jack Shadwick Invitational

SENECA, S.C. –
Playing its last tournament of the 2005 fall season, the Methodist Monarch men’s golf team is currently third after Monday’s first round of the Jack Shadwick Invitational at the Cross Creek Plantation. Methodist shot a 304 in some harsh conditions on Monday.

Methodist trails Campbellsville by three strokes and first round leader Oglethorpe by four strokes. This is an 18-team field.

Cory Schneider had the top score for the Monarchs with a 73, while Adam Horton shot a 75 and Nick Bova had a 77. Rounding out the Methodist scoring was Brant Dixon with a 79 and Josh Hart with an 80.

The second and final round is set for Tuesday at Cross Creek Plantation.
