March 23, 2008 JEKYLL ISLAND , GA – The Monarchs finished up with a 291 in round three to hold on for the top spot at the Jekyll Island Invitational on Sunday. Methodist's 871 (295-285-291) led second place Huntingdon by 15 strokes. Oglethorpe finished third with an 899. Senior Nick Bova won the tournament with a 211 (71-68-72) on the par 72 course. Sophomore Josh Schrader finished second with a 215 (75-70-70) and junior Tom Cooper shot a 219 (74-70-75) to tie for fifth. Junior Matt Bova shot a 228 (75-79-74) and junior Jake Pleczkowski finished with a 236 (75-77-84). The Monarchs will compete in the Camp LeJeune Intercollegiate Mar. 28-30. |
