May 16, 2007 CARMEL, IN – The Monarchs came up short on Wednesday in the second round of the National Championship Tournament. The team cut their score by eight strokes for a two day total of 642 (325-317), but missed the cut by one shot in a playoff to Salem State. St. John's (MN) leads the field with a 600 (300-300). Trey Howell led Methodist over two rounds with a 158 (81-77) while Matt Bova was just one stroke behind with a 159 (77-82). Nick Bova shaved eleven strokes from day one to score a 161 (86-75) while Josh Speight shot 170 (87-83). Jake Pleczkowski finished with a 174 (81-93).
