Methodist Wins Johnny Palmer Memorial Golf Tournament
Senior Nick Bova earns fourth career win

BADIN LAKE, NC– The Methodist University men's golf team opened the 2008 spring season on a good note with their first win of the new year. The team finished ahead of 11 other teams at Old North State Golf Club as part of the Johnny Palmer Memorial Golf Tournament. The Monarchs won with a score of 606 (299-307), ten strokes ahead of second place Newberry with a 616 (305-311). Barton finished third at 621 (309-312).

Senior Nick Bova won his fourth career tournament with a 142 (72-70). Sophomore Josh Schrader placed fifth with a 152 (74-78) while junior Matt Bova finished sixth at 153 (74-79). Junior Jake Pleczkowski finished with a 161 (79-82) while senior Devin Gee shot a 167 (87-80).

The men's next tournament will take place Mar. 3-4 at the Callaway Invitational.
