Methodist Falls to Greensboro 2-0
Senior goalkeeper Sean Brennan earns All-Tournament honors

ROCKY MOUNT, NC-  After a 2-2 tie on October 25, Methodist and Greensboro started over Saturday afternoon in the USA South Tournament Final. Greensboro used a goal late in each half to take the 2-0 win and earn the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Monarchs move to 13-7-1 overall while Greensboro stands at 13-4-3.

Greensboro had 12 shots in the first half before Deng Abiel snuck one in on a give and go with Quinton Hurdle with less than three minutes to go in the half. After a red card midway through the second half, Methodist was forced to play a player down, and Greensboro scored their second goal at the 82:19 mark.

Methodist managed three shots, but could not find the back of the net. Methodist goalkeeper Sean Brennan made 11 saves in the game on his way to earning All-Tournament honors. Juniors Mike DeMara and Evan Monteiro were also All-Tournament selections.
