Men's Soccer Moves to 8-1 After 7-0 Win Versus LaGrange
MacDonald and Brumbaugh both score two goals

DEMOREST, GA-  Two minutes into the first half, freshman David Giunti scored the eventual game-winning goal off of an assist from senior Chris MacDonald.  The scoring continued until the Monarchs closed things off with a 7-0 win over LaGrange.  Methodist moves to 8-1 on the season while LaGrange falls to 1-5.

After Giunti kicked things off, freshman Alex Scaffa followed up with a goal in the 9th minute assisted by sophomore Jamie Gunderson.  MacDonald scored his first goal of the game in the 16th with Jamie Gunderson earning his second assist.  Freshman Ime Umoh knocked another one in with an assist from Evan Monteiro to close the first half with the Monarchs leading 4-0.

MacDonald scored his second goal in the 49th minute before sophomore Steven Brumbaugh scored his first two goals of the season.  Freshman Hunter Miller registered one assist.  Methodist led with 18 shots to LaGrange's 3.

The Methodist goal was blocked by committee with Jeremy Belnap, Dan Ohmott, Edgar
Guitierrez and Mike Fiore aiding in the shutout. 

The Monarchs will travel to Averett on Wednesday to face the Cougars at 4 pm.
