Monarchs Roll Through Lasell 6-1
Senior Andy White scores two goals for Methodist

GREENSBORO, NC-  Methodist added another win to their record on a Sunday with a 6-1 victory over Lasell. The team finished second in the Doug Hamilton Memorial Tournament behind host Greensboro due to goal differential. Methodist improves to 4-0 on the year while Lasell falls to 1-3.

Lasell struck early in the first two minutes of the game on a deflection, but the Monarchs settled in and took control. Senior Andy White tied the game before sophomore Bret Brennan's goal took the lead with a little more than 15 minutes to go in the half. Freshman Stan Pajak scored on an assist from senior C.J. Komons and junior Evan Monteiro's goal gave the Monarchs a 4-1 lead at halftime.

Junior Max Adler found Brennan for the first goal of the second half and White capped off the scoring with the assist from freshman Stephen Fox for the 6-1 win.

Senior Sean Brennan and freshman Brock Ferguson split time in goal with Brennan grabbing two saves in the win. Lasell goalkeepers Julian Dutton and Eddie DeGurski combined for six saves.

Bret Brennan, White, Sean Brennan and junior Sean Gregory were all chosen to the All-Tournament team.

The Monarchs travel to Guilford on Tuesday for a 4 pm kickoff.
