Former
Monarch Rudisill inks professional soccer
deal with Wilmington Hammerheads
FAYETTEVILLE,
N.C. –
Former Methodist men’s soccer standout
Garrison Rudisill will be taking his career
to the next level as he recently signed a
contract with the Wilmington Hammerheads of
the United Soccer League. A midfielder,
Rudisill is from Wilmington, and his father,
Bill Rudisill, is the co-owner and president
of the Hammerheads.

Methodist men’s soccer to turn
professional.

proud to have another Monarch become
professional," said Methodist head
coach Justin Terranova, a former pro player
himself. "Garrison was a huge part of
our success over the past two seasons. His
ability to isolate and take on players on
the wing and serve a good ball was always a
threat for us.
"We will
miss him next year, but are proud his is
living every player’s dream as a
pro."
Rudisill
lettered four seasons at Methodist under
head coaches Blaine Hewitt and Terranova. He
was second-team All-Dixie Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference as a junior and second
team All-USA South Athletic Conference as a
senior. Rudisill scored four goals with
three assists for 11 points in pacing
Methodist to a 10-7-1 mark last season,
while scoring four goals with four assists
for 12 points in the Monarchs’ 11-7-2
campaign in 2002.
