September 15, 2007 GEORGETOWN, TX- After a Methodist 3-2 win over Southwestern last year in Fayetteville, the Monarchs agreed to a return trip in 2007 for junior midfielder Sean Gregory to face his father, the head coach of Southwestern in his hometown of Georgetown, Texas. The Pirates came back to even the tally with a 2-0 win on Saturday. With the game scoreless through almost the first thirty minutes, Southwestern scored first with a goal from Ben Hoffman. The Monarchs looked to even the score in the second half, but Southwestern scored on a header off of a corner kick to take the 2-0 lead. Methodist was out shot 17-7 while senior Sean Brennan and freshman Brock Ferguson combined for four saves in goal. Ryan Tasin made three stops for the Pirates.
