The
offensive
bad luck
for the
Methodist
Monarch
soccer
team
continued
on
Saturday
as the
Monarchs
fell 4-0
at St.
Mary’s
in a
non-conference
game.
Methodist,
which
falls to
0-4-1
overall,
has now
gone
scoreless
in four
consecutive
games.
Like
previous
games,
the
opportunities
were
plenty
for the
Monarchs.
Methodist
actually
out-shot
St.
Mary’s
28-19
overall
and 13-9
in shots
on goal.
But the
play of
St.
Mary’s
goalkeeper
Greg
Kamerow
was the
difference.
The
Seahawks’
keeper
recorded
a
whopping
13 saves
against
a
constant
Methodist
attack.
St.
Mary’s
(5-2),
meanwhile,
rode two
goals by
Nathaniel
Graham
offensively.
The
Seahawks
took a
1-0 lead
in the
22nd
minute
on a
goal by
Graham
off an
assist
by Jean
Paul
Coves.
The
Seahawks
increased
the lead
to 2-0
in the
38th
minute
on a
score by
Peter
Krech on
a Joe
McKenna
assist.
In the
second
half,
Graham
struck
again
with a
goal in
the 57th
minute
off an
assist
by David
Reumont.
Alex
Pyzik
finished
the St.
Mary’s
scoring
with a
goal in
the 80th
minute.
Methodist
goalkeepers
Jeremy
Belnap
and Sean
Marable
combined
for five
saves.
Methodist
plays
host to
