Top Ranked Trinity Defeats Methodist 6-1
Sophomore Bret Brennan scores unassisted goal for Methodist

SAN ANTONIO, TX-  The Monarchs traveled to Texas on Thursday for a match up with the number one team in the country on Friday night. Trinity struck early and went on to win 6-1. Methodist falls to 5-1 while Trinity stands at 5-0.

Trinity rattled off three goals in the first half for a 3-0 lead at halftime. The Monarchs got their first shot off in the second half, but Trinity went on to score three additional goals. Sophomore Bret Brennan put the Monarchs on the board with an unassisted goal in the 65th minute.

Methodist goalkeepers Sean Brennan and Brock Ferguson combined to make four saves a piece.

The Monarchs are scheduled to play Southwestern Saturday at 5:30 pm.
