Umoh Selected USA South Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week
Freshman scored three goals and an assist in Methodist Innkeeper

FAYETTEVILLE, NC-  Ime Umoh has been named USA South men's soccer Rookie of the Week as part of the conference's weekly honors.

Umoh, a freshman from Baltimore, Maryland started both games this weekend against Warren Wilson and Southwestern as part of the Methodist Innkeeper Classic.  Umoh assisted Evan Monteiro's goal on Saturday and then score a hat trick against Southwestern on Sunday.  Methodist was losing before Umoh tied the game twice and then scored the go ahead goal with less than four minutes remaining in the game.  He leads the team with 4 goals and 1 assist for the season.

The men's soccer team will host North Carolina Wesleyan on Wednesday at 4 pm to open USA South Conference play.
