September 2, 2006 After a scoreless first half, York was able to capitalize on their chances scoring all three of their goals in the second. Starting goalkeeper Jeremy Belnap made two saves before being red carded in the 24th minute. Sean Brennan took over in the net and made two saves. The Monarchs did find two shots on goal from sophomore substitutes Brandon Cunningham and James Gunderson, but York keeper Kyle Marks was able to make the saves. The Monarchs will return to action Sunday afternoon at 4 to face Johnson & Wales who lost 6-0 to Christopher Newport this afternoon. Both teams will look to gain their first win of the season. |
