Monarchs To Face Averett in Conference Championship
Junior Chris Fletcher wins in three sets at number one singles

FAYETTEVILLE, NC-  The Monarchs continued to roll through the USA South with a 6-3 win over second seeded Christopher Newport on Saturday.  Methodist improve to 10-8 overall while Christopher Newport finishes 14-9 on the season.

The Monarchs took a 2-1 lead after doubles with wins from Andrew Freeman and David Hardy at number two as well as Mike Layton and Matthew Siegel at number three.

Methodist earned the win with three-set victories for Chris Fletcher (No. 1) and Hardy (No. 4) as well as two-set wins from Louis Cisti (No. 5) and Siegel (No. 6).

The Monarchs advance to the championship on Sunday at 10 am against the Averett Cougars.
