Men's Tennis Opened
2007 at Coastal Carolina
Freshman Andrew Freeman wins first match
against Mt. Olive
CONWAY, SC- The men's tennis team opened
the 2007 season with matches at Coastal Carolina
University on Saturday. The Monarchs lost
to Mt. Olive College 8-1 and then faced off
against Coastal to drop a 0-9 match.
Ranked 13th in the Atlantic South region, the
Monarchs start the season 0-2.
Freshman Andrew
Freeman (No. 4) won his singles match against Mt. Olive,
while doubles partners Chris Fletcher and Mike
Layton defeated Guilherme Serra and Indradeep.
The team will
travel to Coker on February 24th to face the
Cobras at 12 pm.
