Eight straight! Monarchs keep rollin’ with 7-2 victory over Coker
Methodist sweeps doubles matches to improve to 9-2 overall

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Make it eight straight victories for the Methodist Monarch men’s team as it pulled off a 7-2 decision over visiting NCAA Division II Coker on Sunday at Monarch Courts. The victory improves Methodist to 9-2 overall.

Methodist won four of the six singles matches. Keith Criscoe downed Coker’s Duncan Grew 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1, while Chris Fletcher bested the Cobras’ Matt Byford 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2. In addition, Sam Miller pulled off a 6-3, 6-4 thriller over Coker’s Danny Nash at No. 4 and Matt Siegel won a 6-3, 6-1 decision over the Cobras’ Dustin Yager

Methodist swept all three singles matches

Methodist returns to action on Saturday, playing at USA South Athletic Conference rival Shenandoah at 10 a.m.
