January 16, 2007 "We are most pleased to add Keith Criscoe to our coaching staff as head men's tennis coach," said McEvoy. "Keith was an outstanding student-athlete on our campus and will bring a high energy and enthusiasm to our men's tennis program." Criscoe rejoins his former team after a successful playing career for the Monarchs. In 2004, he received first team All-Conference honors for his singles play and second team honors for doubles. Over the past two seasons, Criscoe was awarded top honors as the USA South Athletic Conference's Player of the Year. At the conclusion of the conference tournament in 2005, he was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. During his senior campaign last spring, Criscoe was ranked 28th in Division III tennis and received a qualifying bid to the National Championship tournament. "I am excited to get started," said Criscoe. "We have a couple of new athletes coming in to help out and I'm anxious to see what this season holds for us." Criscoe joins the Methodist staff with a wealth of playing experience and has challenged his new team to work hard to acheive their goals this season. He was a part of the last team conference championship in 2005 and knows what it takes to be successful. Criscoe graduated
in May with a degree in Business Administration
with a concentration in Professional Tennis
Management. After graduation, he worked at
the Millbrook Club in Greenwich, CT as the
Assistant Tennis Professional where he spent the
past three summers. |
