March 22, 2007 FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The Methodist men's team won its third straight conference match to remain in a tie with Averett for first place in the USA South. The Monarchs improve to 4-4 overall and 3-0 in the USA South while Greensboro falls to 1-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference. The men started the day with three wins at doubles. Freshman Andrew Fletcher and junior Chris Fletcher combined to win at number one while freshman Andrew Freeman and senior David Hardy picked up wins at number two. Junior Matthew Siegel and senior Mike Layton finished things off at number three. Freeman (No. 3), Hardy (No. 4), Cisti (No. 5), and Siegel (No. 6) all earned wins in singles competition to secure the 7-2 victory for Methodist. The Monarchs will compete in the N.S. Duals at Barton College on Friday and Saturday.
