Eleven Straight!- Monarchs down Pride
Methodist ranked #7 in the Region
 

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Methodist Monarch men’s tennis team won their eleventh consecutive match as they rolled in 6-1 decision over conference foe Greensboro College (3-9).  The victory improves Methodist to 12-2 overall and 3-0 in USA South play.

In #1 singles, Monarch David Hardy survived a close first set to defeat Greensboro's Wayne Zurowski.  Greensboro's Mark Dirou gave the Pride their only win in close #3 singles against with Blane Sumpter.  Dirou and Zurowski were both defeated in doubles by the #1 Monarch doubles tandem of Hardy and Matthew Seigel.

Methodist, who is currently ranked #7 in the Region, travels to Sewanee, TN this weekend to take on host Sewanee and Mississippi College.
