During the past decade, the Methodist University men's tennis program has proven itself a regional and national power. The Monarchs are members of the NCAA Division III and the USA South Athletic Conference (formerly Dixie Intercollegiate Athletic Conference). The team plays competitive fall and spring schedules against top NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA programs. In 2007, the Monarchs captured the USA South Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships, marking the school’s 12th conference title.

Individual accolades for Methodist over the past 13 years include 79 All-Conference honorees, 13 All-NCAA Division III South Region Selections, four NCAA Division III All-Americans, one Methodist Scholar Student-Athlete, and four Intercollegiate Tennis Association Academic All-Americans.
