Fletcher Advances to Quarterfinals of NCAA Tournament
Senior Chris Fletcher won two matches on Friday

FAYETTEVILLE, NC - Methodist senior Chris Fletcher knocked off the #5 seed in the Round of 32 and won his second match in the Round of 16 to advance to the Quarterfinals on Saturday. Fletcher is currently ranked eighth in the region after a 21-3 regular season at number one singles.

In the first match of the day, Fletcher won 6-4, 6-1 over #5 Garrett Gates of Bowdoin. Cameron Taylor of Pomona-Pitzer defeated Kortney Keith of DePauw to face Fletcher in the Round of 16. Fletcher knocked off Taylor 6-3, 6-2.

Michael Greenberg of Kenyon won his first two matches to face Fletcher in the Quarterfinals Saturday at 9 am. The semifinals are scheduled for noon.
