Methodist Shuts Out North Carolina Wesleyan 9-0
Freshman Andrew Freeman wins at number one singles

ROCKY MOUNT, NC-  The Monarchs' traveled to North Carolina Wesleyan on Monday to face the Battling Bishops in a USA South Conference match-up.  Methodist finished strong winning 9-0 for the second consecutive match.  The Monarchs improve to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in the USA South while NC Wesleyan moves to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

Freshmen Andrew Freeman and Andrew Fletcher started out with a win at number one doubles while junior Matthew Siegel and freshman Jarrod Bogard won at number two and junior Louis Cisti and senior Andrew Martin combined to win at number three doubles.

Methodist finished the sweep with six wins at singles including Freeman (No. 1), Cisti (No. 2), Siegel (No. 3), Bogard (No. 4), Fletcher (No. 5), and Martin (No. 6).

The Monarchs will host Greensboro on Thursday at 3 pm.
