Monarchs Sweep Shenandoah 9-0
Sophomore Neil Perron won 6-0, 6-1 in singles

FAYETTEVILLE, NC- Methodist men's tennis remains undefeated in USA South Conference action with a 9-0 win over the Shenandoah Hornets. Methodist improves to 5-6 overall and 4-0 in the USA South while Shenandoah moves to 2-8 overall and 9-4 in the conference this season.

Sophomore Jarrod Bogard and freshman Tariq Sheikh won 8-2 at number one doubles while junior Rob Currier and sophomore Dylan Knox took the 8-3 win at number two. Freshman Steven Burkett and freshman Justin Campbell completed the doubles sweep with the 8-0 shutout at number three.

Senior Chris Fletcher won 6-0, 6-0 at number one singles while Sheikh won 6-1, 6-1 at number two. Freshman Matthew Taylor won 6-1, 6-2 at number three and Knox prevailed 6-1, 6-1 at number four. Campbell won 6-1, 6-2 at number five and sophomore Neil Perron won 6-0, 6-1 at number six.

The Monarchs will travel to N.C. Wesleyan on Wednesday for a 4:30 pm match.
