North Carolina Wesleyan d. Shenandoah 2 (30-19, 30-24, 19-30, 24-30, 15-1)
Fourth-seeded North Carolina Wesleyan overcame a Shenandoah rally to prevail 30-19, 30-24, 19-30, 24-30, 15-1 in the second quarterfinal match of the 2004 USA South Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament. After taking a 2-0 lead, the Bishops dropped the next two games as Shenandoah forced the fifth and deciding game. However, North Carolina Wesleyan jumped out to an 11-0 lead and cruised to victory.

April Wilson paced the Bishops with 12 kills, while Carter Batts, Kendra Brewer and Erin Bryant each added 11 kills. Defensively, Melissa Leonard recorded 20 digs, followed by Caitlin George had 13 digs and 36 assists. For Shenandoah, Christina Greene recorded 15 kills, while Michelle Chandler had 11 kills and Hannah Williams recorded 10 kills. Greene also recorded 12 digs.

North Carolina Wesleyan battles top-seeded Greensboro in Saturday's 12 p.m. semifinal.
