May 24, 2007 GREENSBORO, NC - The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) released their College Division All-State team on Thursday, recognizing Methodist junior Rebekah Kelly for her play this season. Kelly continues to stack up the awards this spring after being named the USA South Player of the Year, Atlantic Region First Team, NFCA Second Team All-American and now NCCSIA All-State honors. Kelly is one of eleven athletes representing eight institutions named to the All-State team. She helped Methodist to a 33-10 record and an NCAA Division III playoff berth. The junior centerfielder from Fayetteville, N.C., led the Monarchs with a .462 batting average, 66 hits, 54 runs, 17 doubles, five triples and four homers. Founded in 2002, NCCSIA is comprised of sports information professionals from North Carolina’s NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions for the purpose of promoting college athletics in the state. Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina whose responsibilities include sports information. NCCSIA selects all-state teams in the university (NCAA Division I) and college (Division II, III, NAIA) divisions for women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, softball and baseball.
