| #6 Ursinus Shuts Out #5 LaGrange FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Jamie Miles gave Ursinus the 1-0 lead in the second inning on a solo shot over the fence in left field. Lindsay Schmidt drew the lead off walk in the third inning and Sara Williams came on to pinch run. Williams moved to second on an illegal pitch. Katie Gallagher sacrificed her to third and Jennie Moore singled through the left side to score Williams for the second run of the game. Erin McHugh reached on a throwing error to send Moore to third and Kaitlyn Sutherland loaded the bases with a bunt single. Jamie Miles hit the sacrifice fly to score Moore and Sarah Hennessey singled past the third baseman to score McHugh for the 4-0 lead. The Bears added another run in the seventh inning after a bunt single from McHugh. She was sacrificed to third and scored on Sarah Hennessey’s double to left to secure the 5-0 win. Lauren Davis earned the complete game shutout victory for Ursinus recording 10 strikeouts. Danielle LaDuron pitched the first 2.1 innings for LaGrange while Amanda Daniel finished up in the circle.
