May 17, 2008 HARRISONBURG, VA - The Methodist track and field team had one final opportunity to secure their spot at the NCAA Championship meet at Eastern Mennonite University's Last Chance meet on Friday. Tazz Petty, Mike Hill and Greg Bailey have qualified in the 100 meters and the 4x100 meter relay team made up of Petty, Mike Hill, Brandon Kidd and Greg Bailey will be competing later this week. Bailey also qualified in the 200 meter dash. Petty finished second on Friday in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.81 seconds. Bailey was third in 10.86 seconds. Bailey also ran the 200 meters with a third place finish in 21.97 seconds. The relay team placed second in 41.50 seconds to secure their chance to compete in Oshkosh. The NCAA Championship meet will take place May 22-24. |
