Monarchs Compete at Lynchburg Last Chance Meet
Men's 4x100 meter relay team runs provisional qualifying time

LYNCHBURG, VA -  The Methodist track and field team traveled to Lynchburg on Friday for the Last Chance Meet in hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships later this week.

Tazz Petty placed third in the 100 meter dash in a time of 11.19 seconds.  Cedric McGill, Mike Hill, Nevin Rayford, and Petty combined to place second in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 41.55 seconds for a provisional qualifying time.  Rayford was just shy of a provisional finish in the long jump with a leap of 7.02 meters for second place before finishing fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 13.50 meters.

The NCAA Outdoor Championships is in Oshkosh, Wisconsin May 24-26.
