May 22, 2008 OSHKOSH, WI - The NCAA Championship Track & Field meet started on Thursday in Oshkosh, Wisc. The Methodist 4x100 meter relay team competed in the preliminary trials and advanced to the finals scheduled for Saturday at 1:10 pm. The relay team made up of Tazz Petty, Mike Hill, Brandon Kidd and Greg Bailey finished fifth in their heat in 41.28 seconds. The winners from each of the three heats along with the top six times advance to the finals. The Monarchs will look to compete again on Saturday. Bailey competed in the 200 meters finishing fourth in his heat in 21.56. He just missed qualifying for the finals with a tie for ninth place overall. Petty will compete in the 100 meter dash on Friday at 6:05 pm. |
