Shuford Advances to National Championship Finals
Sophomore qualifies for 400 meter finals after fourth fastest time in trials

OSHKOSH, WI -  Antwin Shuford competed in the 400 meter dash trials on Friday evening after becoming eligible earlier this season.  Seventeen men qualified in the race.  The athletes were broken into three heats with the winner of each heat along with the remaining top six times advancing to the finals scheduled Saturday at 2:10 pm.

Shuford finished third in his heat in a time of 47.40 seconds.  Only one other athlete in the remaining two heats ran faster giving Shuford a bid in the 400 meter finals on Saturday.  Less than a second separated the nine qualifying competitors during the trials.
