October 5, 2007 DECATUR, GA - The Methodist volleyball team came through on Friday evening with a 3-1 (30-24, 31-29, 22-30, 30-28) win over Agnes Scott. Methodist moves to 12-10 overall this season. The Monarchs won game one with a six point advantage but had to battle in game two in order to prevail 31-29. Agnes Scott took game three to prevent the sweep, but Methodist finished things off 30-28 in game four for the win. Junior Sara Yeatman led the team with 14 kills in the four games and added 12 digs. Sophomore Allison Averitt had 13 kills while sophomore setter Tiffany Zellhart finished with 35 assists. Sophomore Jordan Grady led with 18 digs and four service aces. The Monarchs will play at LaGrange on Saturday facing Piedmont at 2:30 pm and LaGrange at 4:30 pm. |
