Methodist Loses Two at LaGrange
Sophomore Jordan Grady picks up 31 digs in two matches

LA GRANGE, GA- The Monarchs faced off against Piedmont and LaGrange on Saturday at LaGrange College. Methodist lost 0-3 (27-30, 24-30, 14-30) to Piedmont and then fell 0-3 (16-30, 24-30, 26-30) to LaGrange.

In the first match of the day, junior Sara Yeatman and sophomore Taylor Cates led the team with nine kills a piece. Sophomore setter Tiffany Zellhart finished with 28 assists in three games while sophomore Jordan Grady added 13 digs. Yeatman registered seven digs.

The Monarchs made progress of each game against LaGrange, but the Panthers prevailed in the three game sweep. Yeatman had 12 kills while sophomore Allison Averitt finished with nine. Sophomore Kelsey Carter made 25 assists in the loss. Grady and Yeatman each had 18 digs.

The Monarchs will return to host Guilford on Tuesday at 7 pm.
