Williams Earns First Team USA South Honors
Senior averaged almost 16 points per game in final season

FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for women's basketball. A total of 17 student-athletes have been named to the USA South All-Conference teams for women's basketball.  Methodist senior Stacy Williams is one of five players named to the first team.

Williams averaged 15.7 points per game this season to cap off a career in which she became only the fifth player in program history to surpass 1,000 points.  A native of Beaufort, NC, Williams has led the team in scoring the past two seasons and doubled her scoring from her freshman to senior seasons.  She scored a career-high 28 points against Bennett College on January 20th.  After being named a honorable mention selection her sophomore year and earning second team honors last season, this is Williams' third All-Conference award.

Greesnboro's Staci Humphrey, has been named the conference's top player for the second consecutive season. Humphrey led the league in a number of categories this winter. She averaged a league-best 24.4 points, 7.3 assists, 3.4 steals and 2.6 three-pointers per game.  Freshman Tonya Wright helped lead Ferrum to the USA South Regular Season Championship on the way to earning Rookie of the Year honors. For the season, Wright averaged 11.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, which each ranked third on the team.  Ferrum head coach Bryan Harvey was named Coach of the Year in his second season with the Panthers.
