February 27, 2008 FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for women's basketball. A total of 26 student-athletes have been named to the USA South All-Conference teams for women's basketball. Methodist's Ashley Harris and Dezzire Gilliard have been honored by the conference. Senior Ashley Harris has been selected to the USA South Second Team for the first time in her career. She has led the team in scoring this season averaging 9.0 points per game. Harris is also ranked in the Methodist career recordbook for blocks, assists, steals, points, field goals and free throws. Junior Dezzire Gilliard is an Honorable Mention selection this season. Gilliard averaged 8.0 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game with a team-high 64 steals this season. She had a career-high 17 points scored at Christopher Newport earlier this month. For the first time this year, the USA South recognized an All-Sportsmanship Team including a member from each conference school who has demonstrated integrity and honor during the season.
