Directions to 2007-2008 Opponents

 

Christopher Newport University (Newport News, Va.)

1. I-95 North
2. Exit 11-A (Emporia/Hwy. 58)
3. Take Exit for Hwy 10/32 Smithfield North and take left at stop sign.
4. Go thru Chuckatuck
5. Take right at Benns United Methodist Church
6. Turning right puts you on Hwy. 32
7. Stoplight turn left onto Hwy. 32N
8. Go across James River Bridge
9. Turn right onto Hwy. 60 West
10. Stoplight turn left onto Warwick Blvd.
11. Go pass “The Mariner’s Museum”
12. Turn left on Shoe Lane
13. CNU’s main entrance is to your right
14. Take the first right and follow the road a little ways down, then turn left and the gym will be on your right. Football field directly behind facility. (Freeman Center)

North Carolina Wesleyan College (Rocky Mount, N.C.)

1. I-95 North
2. Gold Rock Exit 145
3. Turn right off of exit ramp
4. Going toward 301 South
5. Go pass ABBOTT on left
6. Go pass first entrance to college
7. Turn right at second entrance to college
8. Road dead ends, turn left, then take right
9. Gym at the end of road

Averett University (Danville, Va.)

1. Hwy. 421 to Greensboro
2. Take Hwy 29 North to Danville
3. Keep straight on Hwy 29.
4. Road splits, bare off to your left onto Memorial Drive
5. At bottom of hill take a left onto Piedmont Drive
6. There will be a dam and you will see the river
7. After crossing the bridge take a left at the third light onto Mt. Cross Road (there will be a Goodyear and an Outback)
8. The entrance to the North Campus will be less than a mile on the left
Directions to Greensboro College
1. Follow Hwy. 421 to Greensboro
2. Go past McDonald’s and Wendy’s
3. Go under the overpass and continue straight onto Martin Luther Blvd.
4. There will be a building to your left with big white columns, turn left onto Murray Street
5. Stop-sign turn right onto Fulton Street
6. Street runs right into gym
7. Soccer field is right beside gym

Meredith College (Raleigh, N.C.)

1. Follow Hwy. 401 to Lillington
2. At stoplight where McDonald’s and a gas station, keep straight
3. Road will go to Angier, stoplight in Angier, turn left
4. Next stoplight, turn right onto Hwy. 401 to Raleigh
5. Once you get into Raleigh follow Hwy. 401 to Tyron Road
6. Stoplight turn left onto Tyron Road (Burger King will be to your right
7. Follow Tyron Road to Gorman Street and turn right onto Gorman
8. Go across I-40 and continue on Gorman Street until you come to Hillsborough Street
9. Turn left onto Hillsborough Street and Meredith College is to your right. (Applebee’s on left corner and BP Station on right)
10. Turn right onto the campus of Meredith College, go around the traffic circle and then bare to right. Follow road and gym will be on the right.

1. Turn right onto Ramsey Street.
2. Turn right onto the new loop and exit off the loop.
3. Turn right at stop sign and follow the road until you see sign for I-95 North.
4. Exit off I-95 to I-40 West (Benson)
5. Follow I-40 West into Raleigh
6. Take Exit 295 Gorman Street
7. Bare to Right on Gorman Street
8. Turn left onto Hillsborough Street and Meredith College is to your right. (Applebee’s on left corner and BP Station on right)
9. Turn right onto the campus of Meredith College, go around the traffic circle and then bare to right. Follow road and gym will be on the right.

Peace College (Raleigh, N.C.)

1. Follow Hwy 401 to Lillington
2. At stoplight where McDonald’s and a gas station, keep straight
3. Road will go to Angier, stoplight in Angier, turn left
4. Next stoplight, turn right onto Hwy. 401 to Raleigh
5. Once you get into Raleigh follow Hwy. 401 and it turns into Hwy 70
(Lowe’s on right, Wal-Mart on left, Rock-a-ola on left)
6. The road will come to a Y, bare off to your right onto Wilmington Street.
There is a cemetery on your right.
7. This road will take you to downtown Raleigh. Follow this road until it ends.
You will come to a stoplight and you should keep straight. The gym is to your right after you go through the stoplight. You should be able to see the tennis courts.

1. Turn right onto Ramsey Street.
2. Turn right onto the new loop and exit off the loop.
10. Turn right at stop sign and follow the road until you see sign for I-95 North.
11. Exit off I-95 to I-40 West (Benson)
12. Follow I-40 West into Raleigh and then take exit 299. Person Street/Hammond
13. Follow Person Street through downtown Raleigh Turn left onto Peace Street (Krispy Kreme Doughnuts on corner) Pass one light Peace College is on the right

Ferrum College (Ferrum, Va.)

1. Follow Hwy. 421 to Greensboro
2. Once in Greensboro you need to pick-up Hwy. 220 North to Martinsville or Rocky Mt., VA.
3. Or you can get on I-85-I-40West and when the two split stay on I-40 West.
Take the Exit for the Triad Airport. At the bottom of ramp, take right and follow road until it runs into Hwy. 220.
4. Stay on Hwy. 220 to Rocky Mount, VA.
5. Once in Rocky Mount you need to pick-up Route 40 to Ferrum
6. The college will be on your right. Take right at the chapel.
7. Gym is on your left.

Shenandoah University (Winchester, Va.)

1. Turn right onto Ramsey Street
2. Turn right onto new loop and exit new loop.
3. Turn right to Wade.
4. Travel about 10 ten miles through Wade and cross over I-95 and then turn left onto I-95 North.
5. Travel on I-95 North and then exit onto Rt 17 N to Warrenton
6. Follow Rt 17 N to I-66, you will only stay on I-66 for a couple of miles.
7. Exit off of I-66 back onto Rt 50 W/RT 17 N to Winchester.
8. Crossover I-81 and go past Bob Evans on your right and turn right onto the campus. Follow signs to Shingleton Gymnasium.

Emory & Henry (Emory, Va.)

1. Follow Hwy. 421 to Greensboro
2. Go past McDonald’s and Wendy’s
3. Go under the overpass and turn left at stoplight to pick-up I-85/I-40 West.
4. Stay on I-40 West
5. Take Exit 6B (US-52 N/NC-8 N toward Mt. Airy) to US-52
6. Take Exit to I-74
7. Take Exit 5 to I-74/I-77, toward Wytheville, VA
8. Continue on I-77 North
9. Pick up I-81 (US-52)
10. Take Exit 26 toward Emory
11. Turn right to College Drive

Piedmont College (Demorest, Ga.)

From Greenville, SC - I-85 South to GA 17. Left to Toccoa, GA. Take bypass GA 17 - GA 365 to Demorest-Helen exit (US Historic Route 441), Left to Demorest. Travel 1.5 miles to Florida St. (Exxon station on the right), take right. Straight thru stop sign, bus/van entrance to the Johnny Mize Center on left.

From Atlanta, GA - I-85 North to I-985. I-985 becomes GA 365 in Gainesville, GA Take GA 365 North to Demorest-Helen exit (US Historic Route 441), Left to Demorest. Travel 1.5 miles to Florida St. (Exxon station on the right), take right. Straight thru stop sign, bus/van entrance to the Johnny Mize Center on left.

Oglethorpe University (Atlanta, Ga.)

From I-85:
1. Take Exit 89 - North Druid Hills Road.
2. Head west approximately 2 miles, where North Druid Hills Road meets Peachtree Road. Be aware that North Druid Hills Road bears off to the right at the third traffic light.
3. When you reach Peachtree Road, turn right and head north on Peachtree Road for 1 mile.
Oglethorpe University will be on your left.
From I-285:
1. Take exit 31-A, Peachtree Industrial Boulevard south.
2. Head south on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard for approximately 4 miles.
3. Oglethorpe University will be on your right.
