Monarchs Win 67-56 Over Emory & Henry
Senior Courtney Bissette scored 12 points in the win

EMORY, VA - The Methodist women's basketball team earned their first win of the season over Emory & Henry College on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Monarchs had a strong first half to take a 35-23 lead at halftime and went on to win 67-56.

The Wasps out rebounded Methodist 39-30, but the Lady Monarchs nearly cut their turnovers in half from Friday night to take the win. Seniors Courtney Bissette and Chelsale Hester each had 12 points in the win to lead the team. Junior Dezzire Gilliard and freshman Dawn Sanderson each had five rebounds.

Methodist will host the Cross Creek InnKeeper Turkey Shootout next weekend with Methodist playing Piedmont Saturday at 8 pm.
