players on the 2005-06All-USA
South Athletic
Conference team for
women’s basketball on
Wednesday. Forward Stacy
Williams and guard Lisa
Jackson were both
selected second team
All-USA South, as voted
on by the conference
head coaches. This marks
the first time since the
2000-01 season that
Methodist has had
multiple representation
on the All-Conference
squad. Williams was
selected for second
straight year, while
this is the first
All-Conference selection
for Jackson.

Methodist sophomores

rebounds. Jackson
recorded her first
career double-double
with a game-high 30
points and 11 rebounds,
while Harris scored a
career-high 25 points
and equaled her
career-high in rebounds

Monarchs selected first, Lady Monarchs fourth in USA South
preseason basketball polls
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The
Methodist Monarch men’s basketball team was selected first
and the Methodist Lady Monarch women’s basketball team was
selected fourth in their respected preseason USA South
Athletic Conference polls released on Wednesday. Head coach
David Smith’s Monarchs were selected the preseason favorites
in the men’s poll for the second straight season. They
received six of the seven possible first place votes and 36
points total. Head coach DeeDee Jarman’s Lady Monarchs
received 31 points total and one first place vote in the
women's poll.
