May 2, 2007 SALISBURY, NC- The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) released its third annual All-State College Division Women's Basketball Teams on Tuesday. The 2007 team includes ten student-athletes from ten different institutions with Methodist senior Stacy Williams awarded second team honors. Williams
averaged 15.7 points per game this season to cap
off a career in which she became only the fifth
player in program history to surpass 1,000
points. A native of Beaufort, NC, Williams
has led the team in scoring the past two seasons
and doubled her scoring from her freshman to
senior seasons. She was recently named the
team's Most Valuable Player during last week's
awards ceremony. NCCSIA selects all-state teams for men's and women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, softball and baseball on the College (Division II, III, NAIA) and University (Division I) levels. More than 400 student-athletes have been recognized on all-state teams since 2003.
