Methodist University Invites You to Attend Their "Take A Kid to the Game" Program
Take advantage of the men's and women's basketball games February 6, 2007

FAYETTEVILLE, NC-  Come out to the Methodist University women's basketball game February 6, 2007 against the Averett University Cougars at 5:30 pm where all area youth are invited to attend its upcoming scheduled Take A Kid to the Game Day.  Kids will have an opportunity to experience the college game-day atmosphere when Methodist hosts
NCAA Basketball’s 12th annual Take A Kid to the Game® (TAKG) day celebration.  Youth, ages 16 and younger, will receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket, to watch the Monarchs take on Averett at the March F. Riddle Center.  All youth will receive a free popcorn and drink, while the first 100 will receive a free t-shirt and other prizes.

Methodist University is hosting one of more than 700 games that will be played across the nation this season as part of the Take A Kid to the Game program.  This project, is a grassroots initiative that attracts the nation's youth and encourages adults to take kids to area college basketball games.

"We are pleased to extend the invitation to the community as we invite adults to bring children to experience a collegiate athletic event," said DeeDee Jarman, head coach for the Lady Monarchs basketball team.  "It is our hope that there will be a record turnout as more and more children are able to take advantage of this truly memorable experience and worthwhile program.  Methodist is excited about the intense basketball action that you will have a chance to be a part of!"
