Methodist Ranked In Recent Golf World Poll
Women remain at the top of the NCAA Division III

NEW YORK, NY-  Golf World magazine recently released their first poll of the spring for NCAA men's and women's golf. The Methodist men and women have historically dominated Division III golf and their rankings reflect their success.

The Methodist women earned all 15 first place votes to remain at the top of the NCAA Division III women's poll. The Monarchs recently placed sixth at the Diet Coke Wofford Invitational and will host SUNY-Cortland on Monday. The women are led by senior Katie Dick and sophomore Susan Martin from last year's national championship team.

The men's team ranked second in the national poll just behind Oglethorpe. The Monarchs received 311 points and one first place vote in the poll. The Monarchs have competed in two tournaments this spring, winning both. Most recently, the team came from behind to win the Callaway Invitational on Tuesday. Mar. 21-23 they will take on the top team Oglethorpe at the Jekyll Island Invitational. The Monarchs return their entire team from last year's USA South Championship and are seeking their tenth national championship this spring.
