The Methodist University women's golf program has been the dominant force in small college golf in recent years.

Methodist has won 11 consecutive NCAA Division III National Championships with the first two being in a combined Division II and III combined format. Since the program's inaugural season in 1986 to 1995, the Lady Monarchs claimed nine out of 10 National Golf Coaches Association National Championships. Since the NCAA began governing the women's golf championships in 1996, the Lady Monarchs have won 11 out of 13 national championships, including this year's NCAA Division III title.

Methodist has produced 80 All-Americans, 11 Individual National Champions, eight NGCA Players of the Year, 18 NGCA All-Scholar Athletes, and three GTE Academic All-Americans.

Additionally, the Methodist women's golf program has been featured in national publications such as Sports Illustrated for Women and Golfweek.

Located on the Methodist University campus is a private 18-hole golf course near the Cape Fear River, a 17-acre driving range with 50+ stations (eight covered), and three short-game practice areas.
