March 19, 2007 RUTLEDGE, GA- The Methodist women's golf team traveled to the Piedmont Spring Invitational to compete on Sunday and Monday. The top four spots in the tournament went to the Monarchs with senior Holly Knox winning the event with a 162. The Monarchs finished with a 661 (332-329) to win the event 71 strokes ahead of the second place team South Carolina State. Senior Jessica Wanger finished just one stroke behind Knox with a 163 while freshman Darlene Roach and sophomore Emily Tucker tied for third with a 165. The women will compete in the Monarch Invitational from April 21-22. |
