Martin to Compete in 2007 USA China Friendship Cup
Martin one of four freshmen women named to the roster
NORMAN, OK - The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA)
has announced the Team USA roster scheduled to compete in the 2007
USA China Friendship Cup July 26-29. The team comprised of eight
men and four women are all freshmen. The event will be held
at the Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont, California. release

Katie Dick wins first individual championship as a junior
HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL- The Monarchs shot a tournament low 300
on Friday to finalize their tenth consecutive National Championship.
The Monarchs' tournament total 1215 (303-309-303-300) led second place
De Pauw University by 88 strokes. Katie Dick won the individual championship
with a 296 (76-73-72-75). release

Charlotte Williams shaved eight strokes from round two to three
HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL- The Monarchs dropped six strokes from
Wednesday to score a tournament total 915 (303-309-303) 69 strokes
ahead of second place De Pauw University in the NCAA Division III
Championships. Katie Dick holds a seven stroke lead in first place

Senior Charlotte Williams becomes four-time first team All-American
HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL- The National Golf Coaches Association
(NGCA) held its annual awards banquet on Wednesday evening presenting
All-Region and All-American honors. The Methodist team members
were all named to the East All-Region Team on the way to All-American

two, but continued to extend their lead through the second round of
the NCAA Championship Tournament on Wednesday. Katie Dick took

off in round one of the NCAA Championship on Tuesday. After
the first round, the Monarchs are in first place by 29 strokes with
a score of 303. Charlotte Williams led the field with a 74.

Freshman Susan Martin earns first collegiate win in playoff
FAYETTEVILLE, NC- Methodist University women's golf team earned
the first three places in the Monarch Invitational over South Carolina
State and Piedmont College. The varsity team finished first
with a score of 598. The Green team finished second with a score
of 658 and the Gold team shot 678 to place third. release

Senior Heather Martin is tied for seventh with 156 (76-80)
FARMVILLE, VA- The women's golf team shot the lowest score in
round three to jump two spots and finish in first place at the Tina
Barrett Longwood Invitational in a field of 13 teams. Methodist
finished eight strokes ahead of second place Gardner-Webb University.

Golf Knocks Off 33 Strokes to Finish in Second Place
Senior Charlotte Williams tied for second with a 150 (74-76)
WILLIAMSBURG, VA- After a 326 in round one at the William &
Mary Invitational on Saturday, the Monarchs came back on Sunday to
drop 33 strokes and finish in second place just two strokes behind
Western Michigan University. Their second round score of 293
was the tournament's lowest round score by fourteen strokes.

JV Golf Wins Piedmont Spring Invitational
Senior Holly Knox shot a 162 to place first in the tournament
RUTLEDGE, GA- The Methodist women's golf team traveled to the
Piedmont Spring Invitational to compete on Sunday and Monday.
The top four spots in the tournament went to the Monarchs with senior
Holly Knox winning the event with a 162. The Monarchs finished
with a 661 (332-329) to win the event 71 strokes ahead of the second
place team South Carolina State.

Senior Jessica Wanger led all golfers with a score of 82
FAYETTEVILLE, NC- On Thursday, the Methodist women's junior
varsity golf team hosted Wilmington College in one round on the University
golf course. The Gold team made up of senior Jessica Wanger,
sophomore Junko Suzuki, freshman Alana Swain, freshman Darlene Roach,
and freshman Colleen Long won the round with a score of 341.

of third place Lynn University.

SEBRING, FL- The Methodist women overcame primarily Division
I and II competition to win the NIU Springlake Invitational on Saturday.
Tied for second after round one, the Monarchs improved their score
by two strokes while other teams faltered to make room for the Methodist

in First Golf World Coaches’ Poll Of 2007
New poll will be known as the Golf World/NGCA Coaches' Poll
NEW YORK, NY- Golf World and the National Golf Coaches' Association
are combining resources to release the new joint poll this spring.
In the first poll of 2007, the Methodist women were the unanimous
pick as the number one team in NCAA Division III.

Charlotte Williams led the Monarchs placing in a tie for 16th
SOUTHERN PINES, NC- Rollins College led the 13 schools participating
in the Ross Resorts Invitational at Mid Pines with a score of 902
(306-294-302). The Monarchs placed 8th with a 943 (319-308-316).
Senior Charlotte Williams shot a 232 (76-80-76) to tie for 16th overall.

GREENVILLE, NC- Birmingham Southern won the Lady Pirate Invitational
on Sunday with a score of 880. The Monarchs finished in 17th
place with a 946 against the Division I competition. Senior
Charlotte Williams shot a 227 (75-76-76) to lead the Monarchs in a

for First at Apple Mountain Fall Invitational
Freshman Allyson Burak wins tournament with a score of 75
CLARKSVILLE, GA- The Methodist women's golf junior varsity took
a green and gold team to compete at the Apple Mountain Fall Invitational
at the Apple Mountain Resort in Clarksville, Georgia. The Gold
team shot a 314 to tie for first with 16th ranked Oglethrope.
The Green team shot a 315 and placed third. release

Methodist College women have been ranked number one receiving 125

DRAPER VALLEY, VA- The national champion women's golf team traveled
to the Draper Valley Invitational for their first event of the 2006-2007
season. The team finished eighth with a score of 922.
East Tennessee State won the invitational with 889 for the par 72
