October 16, 2007 MIDLOTHIAN, VA- After two rounds of the Richmond Spiders Invitational, the Methodist women tied for fifth place with William & Mary after a final score of 629 (309-320). The University of Maryland won the tournament by eight strokes with a 603. Sophomore Susan Martin shot a 149 (75-74) to lead the Monarchs and place third overall just five strokes behind the top finisher. Senior Katie Dick placed for 7th with a 151 (77-74) while junior Sara Dickson tied for 38th with a 163 (78-85). Sophomore Alana Swain shot a 166 (79-87) to tie for 47th and freshman Katy Heskett shot a 171 (83-88) to tie for 53rd overall. The women will finish their fall season at the Ross Resorts Invitational Oct. 29-30.
