April 1, 2008 FARMVILLE, VA- Shortened to 36 holes, the Methodist women's golf team finished in sixth place at the Tina Barrett Invitational with a score of 656 (319-337). Hosted by Longwood University, the tournament featured 15 teams on the par 71 course at Poplar Hills in Farmville, Va. Methodist senior Katie Dick finished in a tie for fourth with a 155 (76-79) and sophomore Susan Martin placed 11th at 158 (78-80). Freshman Gretchen McLean shot a 172 (84-88) to tie for 38th and junior Sara Dickson shot a 173 (83-90) to tie for 42nd. Freshman Paige Caldwell shot a 179 (82-97) to finish out for Methodist in a tie for 56th. On April 5, the Monarchs will host Hollins University. |
