![]() Lady Monarchs advance to seventh after two rounds at Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Methodist Lady Monarch golf team improved three places to seventh overall on Saturday after the second round of the Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic at the Bay Tree Golf Club. The Lady Monarchs shot a second round score of 305 to stand currently at 623 overall. Methodist trails Texas-Pan American by one stroke and Florida International by four strokes. Middle Tennessee State continued to hold the overall lead with a 602 (298-304). The Lady Raiders are five strokes ahead of Cincinnati. Individually for Methodist, Charlotte Williams shot a second round score of 74 to stand tied for ninth overall with a 150. She trails second round leaders Angie Hill from College of Charleston and Hillery Wilson of Cincinnati by four strokes overall. In addition, Colleen Walsh shot a 77 for the second round and moved up to a tie for 35th with a 158, while Katie Dick is tied for 41st with a 159 (80-79). Rounding out the Lady Monarch scoring is Heather Martin tied for 46th with a 160 (81-79) and Emily Ranney tied for 55th with a 162 (87-75). The third and final round of the Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic is Sunday at 8:22 a.m. |
