![]() Lady Monarchs place eighth at Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Methodist Lady Monarch women’s golf team finished eighth overall on Sunday at the Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic at Bay Tree Golf Club. The Lady Monarchs shot a third round score of 308 to finish with a 931. Methodist finished four strokes behind Texas-Pan American, six strokes behind Western Michigan and nine strokes off the pace of Ball State. Middle Tennessee State held the lead for all three rounds and won the tournament with a 901. Individually for Methodist, Charlotte Williams finished tied for 12th overall with a 227 (76-74-77). She finished nine strokes behind individual champion Angie Hill from College of Charleston. In addition, Colleen Walsh finished tied for 31st with a 234 (81-77-76), while Heather Martin finished tied for 42nd with a 237 (81-79-77). Katie Dick (80-79-81) and Emily Ranney (87-75-78) both finished tied for 47th with a 240. Methodist’s next tournament is on Oct. 21-23 at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate in Greenville, N.C. |
