Women's Golf Knocks Off 33 Strokes to Finish in Second Place
Senior Charlotte Williams tied for second with a 150 (74-76)

WILLIAMSBURG, VA-  After a 326 in round one at the William & Mary Invitational on Saturday, the Monarchs came back on Sunday to drop 33 strokes and finish in second place just two strokes behind Western Michigan University.  Their second round score of 293 was the tournament's lowest round score by fourteen strokes.

Methodist senior Charlotte Williams tied for second place with a 150 (74-76) while junior Katie Dick led the Monarchs' comeback with a 67 in round two to drop her score by 18 strokes and score the tournament's lowest round.  Dick finished in a tie for sixth place.  Freshman Susan Martin tied for 11th with a 155 (80-75) while senior Heather Martin knocked off twelve strokes to finish in a tie for 34th with a 162 (87-75).  Senior Emily Ranney shot 167 (87-80) to tie for 52nd place.

The women will compete in the Tina Barrett Longwood Invitational April 2-3.
